# About LimeWire.fm LimeWire.fm lets anyone make songs with AI, publish them and listen to what others made. It's free to use. ## AI disclosure Every song here is generated by LimeWire AI from a text description and optional lyrics. All music on LimeWire.fm is made with AI. Every song page says "Made with LimeWire AI", and shared links, the phone's lock screen and downloaded files say "AI-generated". Songs don't imitate real artists: when a prompt names one, the AI gets a description of the general sound instead of the name, and titles can't name real artists. ## Questions and answers ### What is LimeWire.fm? A free AI music generator and listening app. Describe a song (and write lyrics if you like) and the AI makes a full song with sung vocals. Publish it to your own artist page, and listen to what everyone else made: charts, new releases, genres, playlists and artist pages. ### Is it free? Yes. Making, listening and downloading are free. Without an account you can make 10 minutes of music a day; a free account gives you 30 minutes a day. Paid plans with more minutes and no ad breaks are coming later. ### Do I need an account to make a song? No. Songs you make stay in your browser. You need an account (email, username and password) only to publish songs, follow artists, make playlists and like songs publicly. ### How do I make a song with AI? Open Create, describe the song (genre, mood, instruments, what it's about), pick a style and a vocal language, and let the AI write the lyrics or write your own. The song is ready in a minute or two. You can also hum, sing or whistle a melody and the AI builds the song around it. ### Which languages can the AI sing in? More than 50, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Hungarian, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Pick the vocal language on Create, or make an instrumental. ### Can I change a song after it's made? Yes. Extend it, replace any part (with new words if you like), remake it in a new style, trim it, or sing over it with your own voice. Each edit is a new song, so the original stays as it was. ### Can I download songs and use them? Yes, as MP3 or WAV, on every plan. Whether you can use AI-made songs commercially depends on your country's law and the AI model's licence, and AI-generated music may not be protected by copyright in some countries. ### Is every song AI-generated? ACE-Step 1.5, an open-source music model (MIT licence), running on Hugging Face and on LimeWire.fm's own GPU. ### How do songs get on the charts? Publish a song and share it. The Top 50 counts the last 7 days of plays, worldwide and in each country and region, and Rising shows the songs gaining listeners fastest. A play counts after 30 seconds of listening. ## Terms - Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to publish songs. - Don't publish songs that imitate a real artist's voice, copy someone else's lyrics, or that are hateful, harassing or sexual involving minors. - You're responsible for what you publish. We may remove songs and artist pages that break these rules. - You can use songs you make, including commercially, as far as the law and the model's licence allow. AI-generated music may not be protected by copyright in some countries. - The service is provided as is. Generation depends on free GPU capacity and may be slow or unavailable at times. ## Privacy - You can make songs without an account. Songs you make stay in your browser until you publish them. Your description and lyrics go to the AI model to make the song. - To publish, follow, make playlists or like songs publicly, you create an account with an email, a username and a password. Your username, profile, published songs and public playlists are public; your email is never shown. - We use one cookie, only to keep you logged in. - We count plays without tracking you across sites, and we don't sell data. ## Report a problem or request a takedown Use "Report" in any song's menu.
