--- title: "Apology song with AI: say sorry with a song" description: "Say sorry with a song made with AI: honest words about what happened and what you'll do better. Kind, personal and free, to send when the time is right." url: __ORIGIN__/apology-song language: en updated: 2026-10-20 --- # Make an apology song Sometimes sorry is hard to say. A song can help you find the words, as long as they're honest and the song is about the other person, not about you. **[Make your song free](__ORIGIN__/create?idea=A+heartfelt+acoustic+apology+song+for+my+sister+Emma%2C+sorry+for+missing+her+big+day+and+for+not+calling&style=Acoustic&mood=Sad)** (No account needed · 10 free minutes of music a day) ## Say what happened A good apology names what you did, shows you understand how it felt and makes no excuses. Put that in the description, or write the lyrics yourself. ## Keep it gentle Choose a calm style like acoustic, soul or R&B and a mood like Sad or Hopeful. Leave out big jokes: the song should show you take it seriously. ## Give them space Send the link once, then let them listen when they're ready. A song can open a conversation, but it doesn't replace one. ## Ideas to try Press an idea and Create opens with it filled in. Change anything you like before you make the song. - [A soft R&B song saying sorry to my partner after a silly argument](__ORIGIN__/create?idea=A+soft+R%26B+song+saying+sorry+to+my+partner+after+a+silly+argument&style=R%26B&mood=Romantic) - [A gentle folk song for an old friend I lost touch with](__ORIGIN__/create?idea=A+gentle+folk+song+for+an+old+friend+I+lost+touch+with&style=Folk&mood=Hopeful) - [A light-hearted country song saying sorry to my flatmate for eating her leftovers](__ORIGIN__/create?idea=A+light-hearted+country+song+saying+sorry+to+my+flatmate+for+eating+her+leftovers&style=Country&mood=Happy) ## How it works 1. Write who it's for, what happened and what you want to say sorry for. 2. Choose the lyrics: the AI writes them, you paste your own, or you go instrumental. 3. Press Create. Your song is ready in a minute or two. 4. Listen, edit or extend it, then download it or publish it with a link to share. ## Questions ### Should the song ask for forgiveness? It can say you hope to make things right, but the best apologies don't push. Let the song say sorry, and leave the answer to them. ### Can I sing it to them myself? Yes. Make a version without vocals and record yourself over it with Add your voice, with headphones on and the lyrics scrolling. ### Can I keep the song private? Yes. Songs stay in your browser until you publish them. Publish as unlisted to share it by link only, or keep it to yourself. ### Is it really free? Yes. Make 10 minutes of music a day without an account, or 30 minutes a day with a free account. No credit card, no trial. Free listening has a short break for LimeWire Pro every few songs. ### How long does it take to make a song? Usually a minute or two. When many people are making songs at the same time, it can take a little longer. ### Which languages can it sing in? 50 languages, from English, Spanish and Hindi to Hungarian, Swahili and Japanese, plus Estonian in beta. Pick the vocal language on the Create page. ## More ideas - [Love song](__ORIGIN__/love-song) - [Song for a friend](__ORIGIN__/song-for-a-friend) - [Breakup song](__ORIGIN__/breakup-song) - [Add your voice](__ORIGIN__/add-your-voice-to-a-song) - [A song for someone](__ORIGIN__/make-a-song-for-someone) --- Made with LimeWire AI: every song on LimeWire.fm is made with AI.
