--- title: "Funny song for a friend: a kind AI roast" description: "Make a funny song for a friend with AI: a gentle roast about their habits, their cooking or their terrible jokes. All in good fun, and free." url: __ORIGIN__/funny-song-for-a-friend language: en updated: 2026-10-20 --- # Make a funny song for a friend Roast your best friend in the nicest way: a song about how they're always late, can't cook or still use the same password. They'll laugh, and probably play it twice. **[Make your song free](__ORIGIN__/create?idea=A+funny+dramatic+power+ballad+roasting+my+best+friend+Ben%2C+who+is+always+late+and+burns+toast&style=Rock&mood=Happy)** (No account needed · 10 free minutes of music a day) ## Teasing, not hurting The best roast songs make the person feel loved. Pick a few harmless habits everybody knows, and end on why they're the best. ## Make it dramatic Funny lyrics land harder in a serious style: an epic power ballad about someone's lost keys, or an opera about the group chat. ## Made for parties Birthdays, farewells, team events and wedding toasts: play it in the room, or send the link to the group. ## How it works 1. Write who it's for and two or three harmless things you love to tease them about. 2. Choose the lyrics: the AI writes them, you paste your own, or you go instrumental. 3. Press Create. Your song is ready in a minute or two. 4. Listen, edit or extend it, then download it or publish it with a link to share. ## Questions ### Is there anything I can't put in? Hateful, harassing or sexual lyrics about real people are refused. Keep it to things the person would laugh about too. ### Can I make one about my team or my class? Yes. Name the team, the inside jokes and the big moment of the year. ### Can I keep the song private? Yes. Songs stay in your browser until you publish them. Publish as unlisted to share it by link only, or keep it to yourself. ### Is it really free? Yes. Make 10 minutes of music a day without an account, or 30 minutes a day with a free account. No credit card, no trial. Free listening has a short break for LimeWire Pro every few songs. ### How long does it take to make a song? Usually a minute or two. When many people are making songs at the same time, it can take a little longer. ### Which languages can it sing in? 50 languages, from English, Spanish and Hindi to Hungarian, Swahili and Japanese, plus Estonian in beta. Pick the vocal language on the Create page. ## More ideas - [Birthday song](__ORIGIN__/birthday-song) - [Song for a friend](__ORIGIN__/song-for-a-friend) - [AI rap generator](__ORIGIN__/ai-rap-generator) - [Halloween song](__ORIGIN__/halloween-song) - [A song for someone](__ORIGIN__/make-a-song-for-someone) --- Made with LimeWire AI: every song on LimeWire.fm is made with AI.
