What's new

2026-10-19

  • New: The song guides (birthday songs, lullabies, every genre and language…) are now in all 42 languages of the site, so people find LimeWire.fm when they search in their own language.
  • Better: A few genre names read more naturally in German and Chinese.
  • Better: Limits now count minutes of music instead of songs: 10 minutes a day without an account, 30 with a free account, and Pro has no daily limit (3,000 minutes a month). Create shows how much a song will use before you make it, and can shorten it to what's left.
  • Fixed: A song that fails on LimeWire's own GPU no longer counts against your minutes.
  • New: LimeWire Rewind: from 1 December to 31 January, see your year in music: your minutes, top songs and artists, genres, when you listened and your listening personality, then share it as a picture or save your top songs as a playlist. People who publish see how their songs did too.
  • New: Best of the year: from 1 December, playlists of the year's top songs worldwide, in your country, and in every genre, mood and language, plus the year's best new artists. They stay as they are once the year is over.
  • New: Guides for every kind of song: birthday, love and wedding songs, lullabies, rap, beats, 31 genres and 50 languages, each with tips, answers to common questions and a button that opens Create ready to go. Find them under About → Make a song for…
  • Better: LimeWire.fm is easier to find on Google, Bing and AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity: they can now read each song's details and lyrics, artist pages, playlists, charts and genres, even without running the app.
  • New: Questions and answers on the About page: what LimeWire.fm is, what's free, languages, downloads and how songs get on the charts.
  • New: Made for you: your own mixes, Weekly discoveries (every Monday), New from your artists (every Friday), Your most played and Liked songs radio, on Home and in Your library. They're made from what you play and like.
  • Better: Library tabs scroll sideways on phones instead of breaking onto two lines.
  • New: Charts: Top 50 and Rising, worldwide, for your region and for your own country (Top 50 Hungary, Trending in Hungary…), with arrows showing what climbed since yesterday.
  • New: Playlists that make themselves: Top 50s, Happy hits and other moods, genre mixes, top songs in each language, Fresh finds, New this week, Most liked and Hidden gems. Updated every 15 minutes.
  • New: Share as video: turn 15, 30 or 60 seconds of any song into a portrait video with its cover, the words and moving bars, ready for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and WhatsApp Status. Find it on the song page and in the song's ••• menu.
  • New: 19 more languages, 42 in all: Czech, Slovak, Greek, Bulgarian, Croatian, Slovenian, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Catalan, Thai, Malay, Filipino, Bengali, Swahili, and Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu, with the whole page mirrored for right-to-left reading.
  • New: Put a song or playlist on your own website: choose Embed in a song's ••• menu or on a playlist, then copy the code. It plays right there, with a link back to LimeWire.fm.
  • Better: Songs, artists and playlists are easier to find on Google and other search engines, and links to them turn into a player on sites that support it.
  • New: Install LimeWire as an app: Settings → Install the app (on iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen). It opens in its own window, with shortcuts to Create, Library and Search.
  • New: Download any song as a WAV for editing software, next to the MP3, and pick up where you left off in "Recently played" at the top of Home.
  • New: 17 more languages for the site: French, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Ukrainian, Romanian, Turkish, Finnish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Hindi (Settings → Language).
  • Better: A song's language (in its details, on Create and on the language pages) shows its name in your own language.

2026-10-18

  • New: LimeWire.fm now speaks Hungarian, Estonian, Russian, German and Spanish: it follows your phone's language, or pick one in Settings → Language.
  • Better: Sync lyrics is tidier: one short instruction (tips under "How it works"), a progress bar while it syncs automatically, quiet dots instead of "--:--", and one big button at the bottom that becomes Save when every line is timed.
  • Better: While a song loads, the play button keeps its icon and a lime ring turns around it (it showed a broken-looking circle).
  • New: Shared playlists, genres, moods, languages, charts and new releases show their own picture in WhatsApp, Telegram and Messages, with how many songs there are and the top ones.
  • Fixed: A new profile picture shows in the top bar straight away, without refreshing.
  • Better: On phones, the top bar's icons line up with the edge of the page, like the logo.
  • Fixed: Phones held sideways get the phone layout (it showed a squashed computer layout), and the full-screen player puts the cover beside the controls.
  • Better: LimeWire.fm updates itself: when a new version is out, it loads the next time you come back to the tab or change page, as long as no music is playing and you're not in the middle of something. No more refreshing.
  • Fixed: "Copy link" on phones copies the song's link (it copied only the title). To send it straight to WhatsApp or Messages, use ••• → Share…
  • Better: Pro and Studio now come with songs for the whole month (500 and 1,500) instead of a daily limit: make lots in one day and fewer on others.
  • New: Ad breaks can now play real songs about LimeWire Pro, made right here with LimeWire AI (up to 30 seconds), instead of the beat made in your browser.
  • Better: During an ad break the player says "Go ad-free with Pro" and when your music comes back.
  • Fixed: Unlisted songs say "Unlisted" in your library (they said "Private"), and show under Published.
  • Fixed: On phones, links and the LimeWire Pro bar no longer stay underlined after you tap them.
  • Fixed: Ad blockers no longer hide the player and the LimeWire Pro bar on phones.
  • Fixed: Every shared song shows its own picture again: missing ones are drawn by themselves, and LimeWire.fm's own picture has the new name.
  • Fixed: On iPhones the player bar (and the ad break in it) always shows at the bottom; it sometimes went missing.
  • New: On phones, a slim LimeWire Pro banner sits above the menu for free listeners; during an ad break it shows the countdown instead of a card over the page.
  • Fixed: With Safari in the background or the phone locked, the next song starts the moment one ends, so the music doesn't stop.
  • Fixed: Music keeps playing with Safari in the background and on the lock screen again; ad breaks now play in the song's place, like a song.
  • Better: Shared song pictures are cleaner: just the title, artist, length and genre.
  • New: 22 more languages to sing in, from Bulgarian, Croatian and Lithuanian to Hebrew, Tamil and Swahili, and Estonian (beta).
  • Fixed: On phones, tap anywhere on a song's line to jump there, or drag it: the time follows your thumb and the song jumps when you let go.
  • Fixed: Ad breaks are heard on iPhones too: the beat now plays like a song, also with the silent switch on.
  • Fixed: Shared links show their picture in WhatsApp again: each song's picture is ready the moment it's published, and LimeWire.fm's own picture is much smaller.
  • Fixed: A song published from its own page now plays everywhere afterwards, also from "Your new songs" on Create (iPhones said "The operation is not supported").
  • Fixed: Ad breaks on phones: the beat now plays on iPhones, the bars always move, and tapping the ad opens it full screen.
  • New: Forgot your password? "Forgot password" now emails you a link to choose a new one, and new accounts get an email to confirm their address.
  • Fixed: After a refresh, pressing play carries on from where you were, also on iPhones, and the loading circle goes away as soon as the music plays.
  • Better: Ad breaks got a glow-up: every break has its own beat, made live by LimeWire in house, phonk, lo-fi, synthwave, trap or drum & bass, with its own words and colours.
  • Better: On phones, song pages have a simple line to move through the song instead of the sound wave.
  • Better: A tab you leave open now updates itself to the newest LimeWire.fm (when you move to another page and nothing is playing), or offers a Refresh button.
  • New: This page: everything new on LimeWire.fm, as it ships.
  • Better: No more "AI-generated" tag on every song: all music here is made with AI, and song pages, shared links and downloads still say so.
  • Better: The full-screen player has a tidier top, with lyrics, sleep timer and queue under the play buttons.
  • New: Start from your voice: on Create, hum, sing or whistle a melody and the AI builds a whole song around it.
  • New: Add your voice: sing over any song with headphones while the lyrics scroll, set your voice, the music and echo, and save it as a new song.
  • New: A version without vocals of any song, to sing over yourself.
  • New: Re-sing a line: pick the line that came out wrong, fix the words, and only that part is made again.
  • New: Trim: cut the start or end of a song and fade it in or out, instantly and without using a daily song.
  • Fixed: Replacing part of a song with new words now keeps all of the song's other lyrics and their timing.
  • Better: On phones, tap a song in any list to play it, and tap the bottom player to open it full screen.
  • Better: On phones, the full-screen player has a simple progress line you can drag with your thumb.
  • Better: On phones, the top bar stays put while you scroll, song rows are tidier, and the song page's buttons all fit.
  • New: Song radio: "Go to song radio" in any song's ••• menu plays it, then songs like it, without end.
  • New: Autoplay: when your queue ends, songs like the last one keep playing (switch it off in the queue).
  • New: Sleep timer: the moon stops the music after 5 minutes to an hour, or at the end of the song, with a gentle fade.
  • New: Drag songs in the queue into a new order, or remove them.
  • Better: The full-screen player takes the colours of the song's cover and moves with the music.
  • New: Save other people's playlists to your library, and drag songs in your own playlists into a new order.
  • New: Artist pick: pin one of your songs to the top of your artist page. Artist pages also show "Fans also like".
  • New: Comments, also at a moment in a song: they show up along the waveform, and a tap plays from there.
  • New: Notifications: the bell tells you about new likes, follows and comments on your music.

2026-10-17

  • New: "Sync automatically" listens on our own GPU: it times the lyrics and offers the words that were actually sung.
  • New: When the free AI is busy, songs move to our own GPU, so making music keeps working.
  • Better: LimeWire Music is now LimeWire.fm.
  • Better: Playing in one tab pauses LimeWire.fm in your other tabs.
  • Better: Rows of songs scroll sideways with arrows, and the phone layout of song pages is cleaner.
  • Fixed: Phones no longer zoom in when you type in a box.
  • Fixed: The tempo box no longer jumps while you type.
