Know the parts of a song
Verses tell the story and change each time. The chorus holds the main idea and comes back the same. A pre-chorus builds up to it, and a bridge brings something new near the end.
Start with the chorus
Write the one line you'd want people to sing back to you, then build the chorus around it. Keep it short and repeat the key words.
Show, don't tell
Instead of "I was lonely", write what it looked like: "two cups on the table, only one is warm". Details make lyrics feel real.
Rhyme and rhythm
Rhyme the ends of lines in pairs or every other line; near rhymes like "home" and "alone" are fine. Count the syllables: lines of similar length sing more smoothly.
Tag the parts
Put each part under a tag on its own line: [Intro], [Verse], [Pre-Chorus], [Chorus], [Bridge] or [Outro]. The AI uses the tags to shape the music, and doesn't sing them.
Hear it, then fix it
Paste your lyrics under My lyrics and press Create. If a line doesn't work, re-sing just that line with new words instead of making the whole song again.
Ideas to try
Press an idea and Create opens with it filled in. Change anything you like before you make the song.
Step by step
- Pick one ideaDecide what the song is about in one sentence: a feeling, a person or a moment.
- Write the chorusWrite two to four short lines with the main idea: the part that repeats.
- Write the versesWrite two verses that tell the story with details, each one leading back to the chorus.
- Add a bridgeWrite a few lines with a new angle before the last chorus. It's optional, but it keeps a song from feeling repetitive.

- Hear it sungPaste the lyrics under My lyrics on the Create page, pick a style and press Create.
Questions
How long should song lyrics be?
A typical song has two or three verses, a chorus sung two or three times and maybe a bridge: around 150 to 300 words. Very long lyrics won't fit in a 4-minute song, so cut what you can.
Do lyrics have to rhyme?
No. Rhyme helps people remember a chorus, but plenty of great songs barely rhyme. Rhythm, lines that are easy to sing, matters more.
Can the AI help me write?
Yes. Describe your song and choose Write lyrics I can edit: the AI writes a draft you can change line by line, or press Rewrite lyrics for me for a new one.
Who owns AI-generated music?
It depends on the country. In many places copyright needs a human author, so a song made entirely by AI may not be protected, while lyrics you write yourself are your own work. On LimeWire.fm, the terms let you use the songs you make as far as the law and the model's licence allow.
Which languages can it sing in?
50 languages, from English, Spanish and Hindi to Hungarian, Swahili and Japanese, plus Estonian in beta. Pick the vocal language on the Create page.
Is it really free?
Yes. Make 10 minutes of music a day without an account, or 30 minutes a day with a free account. No credit card, no trial. Free listening has a short break for LimeWire Pro every few songs.
